The Department of Health is delighted to host the ASEAN Breastfeeding Forum 2025, which will take place from August 22 to 24, 2025, at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam in Bangkok, Thailand. The forum will be held under the theme “Breastfeeding Literacy: Nurturing ASEAN’s Future – Make It Happen.”
The forum aims to achieve the following objectives:
Raise public awareness about the importance of breastfeeding, with a particular emphasis on exclusive breastfeeding.
Develop the “ASEAN Pledge on Breastfeeding,” to be endorsed by all ASEAN Member States. This pledge seeks to advance the breastfeeding agenda at the national level in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and in alignment with existing guidelines and standards.
The Ministry of Public Health, Thailand, will cover the expenses for three participants from each ASEAN Member State.
Experts and resource persons from academia, government, civil society, and international organizations will be invited to engage in discussions and provide recommendations on interventions and strategies to promote breastfeeding across the ASEAN region.
