1939: Established as the "Food Promotion Division" under the Department of Public Health, Ministry of Interior.
1940: Transferred to the Department of Public Welfare and renamed the "Consumer Welfare Division."
1942: With the establishment of the Ministry of Public Health, the Consumer Welfare Division was merged with the Food and Drug Division and renamed the Food Promotion Section under the Food and Drug Division.
1953: The Food Promotion Section was transferred to the Department of Health.
1969: Renamed as the "Nutrition Division."
1975: Expanded nutrition operations to regional areas by establishing 9 Regional Nutrition Centers, responsible for coordinating and overseeing nutrition work at both central and provincial levels.
1987: Integrated all academic centers of the Department of Health into two major branches:
Health Promotion Centers (9 centers)
Environmental Health Centers (9 centers)
1993: The Nutrition Division became one of 12 central divisions under the Department of Health, operating nutrition programs according to the Royal Decree on the Ministry of Public Health’s administrative structure.
1994: The number of regional centers increased to 12 Health Promotion Centers and 12 Environmental Health Centers to align with the Ministry of Public Health’s regional inspection system. The Regional Nutrition Centers were merged into the Health Promotion Centers.
